California Car Clubs Newsletter – January 2014

Attached is the California Car Clubs January 2014 Newsletter which includes a few notes about the 2014 Pontiac/Oakland Regional Convention that will take place in September. Some more detailed notes pertaining to this event are listed below the attachment.

The 2014 Pontiac/Oakland Regional Convention, including a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the GTO, will be at the Pines Resort at Bass Lake, September 25-28.Once again,100% of the net proceeds will be donated to charity. This year Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Central Valley will be the recipient.

A flyer/registration form will be available on March 1st.

The convention; will be a four day event, here is a tentative schedule:

Thursday the 25^th: A fun train ride through the pines on the Sugar Pine Railroad, an old fashion melodrama play at the bottom of the hill, and then the ride back up.
Friday the 26^th: Negotiations are currently being made with the Bass Lake Queen to again take the “Wine & Cheese” tour of the lake. In the evening, a get together on the deck behind the suites for some wine and cheese, and some beer and munchies is planned.
Saturday the 27^th: The Car Show! This will be a judged show of course. Guest speaker Jim Wangers and some others will be on hand. In the evening will be the awards banquet.
Sunday the 28^th: An all you can eat buffet “get-away” breakfast in the lakeview room overlooking beautiful Bass Lake.

Besides the above, there will be Club Displays and a photo contest.

March 16, 2014: Cars and Coffee event 9-11:30 am, @ Nugget Market in Roseville, 771 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville CA (Possible fundraiser)

April 20, 2014 Cars and Coffee event @ 9-11:30 am @ Starbucks 195 Placerville Rd, Folsom CA..CHARITY Benefit for GABBYJACKRANCH, http://www.gabbyjackranch.org/ who provide service dogs to folks with disabilities, with a primary focus of service dogs for returning soldiers suffering from PTSD.May 18, 2014, 9-Noon, Cars and Coffee event: 2nd Annual Charity Fundraiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Greater Sac, @ Pavilions Center, All merchants involved, raffle items, scavenger hunt, music and more.

NEW SUMMER SERIES “Cars and Burgers” at Jaspers Giant Burgers, 2342 Sunrise Blvd, in Gold River…STARTING JUNE 7, @6:30 pm. Car gathering, burgers, and friends.

June 15, 2014, RIVER CATS BALLPARK DRIVE CAR DISPLAY for the 2nd Annual Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Fundraiser. Enjoy the RIVER CATS game, on Father’s Day, Dreams and Drivers car display, with portion of the proceeds of all tickets sold via Dreams and Drivers, going to PANCAN!
